Too Wicked to Wed is the fourth and final book in the Chronicles of a Bluestocking. These books have been so fun to read. Four friends that have been labeled as “ruined” by society decide to write a book detailing the way for new debutantes to recognize and avoid ruin from rakes They are smart, independent, sassy and determined to help other women. Little did they know they would fall for the rakes they decide to study!
Lady Caroline Bixby was the last of the women to write her story in the book. She had been ruined when she had been found in a garden kissing a gentleman. She never revealed who the gentleman was because she thought he would come forward and offer for her. Now she was resigned to spinsterhood, but she was determined to find a rake to study and include her observations in the book. She was sure Pierce was a rake, but she couldn’t use him for her research because he made her feel out of control.
Pierce, the Earl of Marksman, had inherited the financially ruined title from his older brother. His brother had also ruined the reputation of the family name. His parents had always worshiped his older brother while finding Pierce not worthy. His mother loved to make him miserable and the newest way was to insist he marry and provide him with a list of women who he didn’t think he could even come to like. He needed to marry a woman with a good reputation and wealth to make connections in order to make progress in his finances.
Caroline and Pierce make a bargain where Caroline will help Pierce find a wife and he will keep her safe while she is gathering information for her research. Pierce tried to resist the feelings he had for Caroline because she didn’t have a good reputation, but he couldn’t deny the jealousy he felt. They both thought they were not worthy of the other. Will the two realize their own self worth and get their happy ever after?
The book can be read as a stand-alone but reading the previous books you see the struggles the side characters went through to get their happy ever after. This author has become one of my favorites and I loved this series. I’m said to see it end but can’t wait to see what the author has in store for us next!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Tammy Andresen’s Earl of Dryden introduced me to the Chronicles of a Bluestocking series. Although I have not read the two prior books – Too Wicked to Woo and Too Wicked to Wed – it did not stop me from enjoying this one. In fact, of the characters introduced to me in Earl of Dryden, the leading lady in Too Wicked to Wed was the one I was most curious about.

I confess, there were a few elements of this story I may have understood slightly better if I had read the two prior books in the series. Although it would have helped, it did not take away from the story. Things quickly fell into place and I was sucked right into the story.

As always, Tammy Andresen offers a story that grips you throughout. You’re pulled right into the story and will be left turning the pages at a rapid pace. With the usual wonderful chemistry between characters and additive storyline, Too Wicked to Wed is another fabulous read from Tammy Andresen.

Without a doubt, this one is well worth the read.
