Interesting little book about language and the varied nature of humanity. Why do some humans take such pleasure in inflicting pain and cruelty on other creatures? I will never know or understand.

Rating reflects the fact that I got this from the library and didn't spent SEVENTEEN DOLLARS to read an only-okay George Saunders short story illustrated with some cute but also only-okay line art.

Also, this is sort of The Fantastic Mr. Fox but not as complex or interesting?

A short but sad book indeed. In the face of the ecological catestrophes that are happening now all around the world, this book could not be more accurate. It makes you think what we do to the forest, to it's natural and rightful residents, to our planet. Although the way that it is written was fun at first, it got a bit tiring later on. Still, it gives plenty food for thought.
