It's snowing and slowly the animals and the landscape get covered in snow. Yet the sun arrives and the snow melts away revealing the animals and the landscape again.

This one is begging to be a file folder style prop story at storytime.

This sweet book reminds me a lot of Chicagoland with the growing and growing snow. It also reminds me a lot of The Very Hungry Caterpillar with tying the snowfall to the days of the week until it is spring. A great book for little kids to connect with animals, learn the days of the week, and look forward to spring after so much snow.

Beautiful art. Sparse text that goes through animals and days of the week. Great for younger readers.

Beautiful art. Good for days of the week, animals, changing seasons (and how spring comes but more snow is on the way, really cute and funny)

A fast pace romp through a week of snow and a week of melt. Watch animals disappear and reappear from under the snow according to size.

This picture book is best for regions that get many repeat snowfalls in winter, but it's a charming introduction for anyone to different animals and their activities in the snow. The text is simple enough for babies and toddlers, and this would be a great storytime read-aloud.
