i have to admit that it lagged a bit for the first few chapters but jesus christ do the middle and last parts hit you like a freight train. this was so unbearably good. reading the latter half felt like such a huge warm hug. this is definitely a new favorite of mine, a comfort read i'll always be going back to soon.

When a friend recommended this book, promising I'd be hooked within the first 10 pages, I was skeptical. But she was spot on! This book had me crying my eyes out almost immediately—a rare feat for any fiction. The diverse cast of characters was brilliantly crafted; each one evoked a unique reaction. I found myself annoyed, empathetic, frightened, and even repulsed, but always deeply engaged. This rollercoaster of emotions made the journey incredibly fun and profoundly moving. By the end, I felt a renewed connection to humanity. If you're looking for a book that pulls you in quickly and leaves you feeling more human, this is it.

This book was amazing!! I loved all the connections b/t the characters. It dealt with very tough stuff- divorce, suicide, panic, hopeless feelings, and financial difficulties. Those are just a few! I loved the themes of mercy, forgiveness, and second chances. Must read!!

A very strange read. The story is somewhat interesting, but the way it is told is not quite my cup of tea.

Just amazing. No other words. I don’t usually tear up at books as much as I did with this one. Beautiful.

“They say that a person’s personality is the sum of their experiences. But that isn’t true, at least not entirely, because if our past was all that defined us, we’d never be able to put up with ourselves. We need to be allowed to convince ourselves that we’re more than the mistakes we made yesterday. That we are all of our next choices, too, all of our tomorrows.”
