Better conceived than book one of the series but still with a lot of flaws. Still full of unnecessary sexism and pages upon pages of reflection in characters thoughts, hashing and rehashing the same worries. All of the side characters are completely flat, and honestly the main characters are only slightly better. It is at least paced well, and the whole multiverse thing is played a little better in this book.

I liked the characters more than in the first book. They seemed more grown surer of their abilities. Looking forward to the final book.

Angel of Storms is the second book of the series and I enjoyed it as well. While the first book was centered around the world's of our main characters, the second explores the connections between them that make up a whole universe. It's like taking a look at the whole picture.

Therefore this book continues the worldbuilding the first one started. I expect the next books will have less of a focus on that.

We continue to follow Tyen's and Rielle's fate who, after having left their respective home worlds, both have to find their place in the universe and the hierarchy of power in it. This includes defining their connection to the Raen the most powerful sorcerer and ruler of the worlds.

I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

3.5 stars. Solid sequel. Sometimes it dragged, but overall entertaining.
