MC’s Emily and Noah grew up together as neighbours, but lose contact when Noah starts university. They meet by chance (or fate) 32 years later, both as empty nester single parents.

The things i enjoyed the most were the characters being in their late 40’s, it was so different to the usual early twenty-something love stories. Also, the setting of New Zealand was interesting and a beautiful backdrop.

I have to say the second half of the book was better than the first half. I was almost put off completely at the start with the over explaining that went on at the volleyball game and on the construction site. But i persevered and ultimately was glad i did, as it turned out to be an overall enjoyable read.
