great book! I love how she leaves cliff-hanger at the end, making the reader want more and more. I just hate Moncia even more with this book. I mean, come on, don't you even feel guilty for setting someone up for attempted rape? gees, that girl needs to learn a lesson. i don't care if she is the daughter of the mayor or not.

I loved it just as much, if not more, than the first book! This is my new favourite series and you have no idea how much I wish I were Claire just so I could be with Shane LOL

Phew. I get family trauma, but come on Shane. Really gonna side with psycho dad on some things?
Very intrigued still by the concept of Michael being a ghost tied to the house. Am still enjoying the story. Definitely do not appreciate Claire and Eve just letting go the fact that frat boys tried to drug and rape Claire but okay.

An enjoyable read overall though. Still has the interesting plot with humans being under "Protection" and such by vampires.

I enjoyed this but, unfortunately, not as much as Glass Houses. I felt like it dragged quite a lot towards the end and got somewhat tedious - to the point that I dozed off while reading more than once >_< I still really liked the storyline, though.

It was pretty good with the extra dose of action, blood and gore compared to the first book. It was pretty intense with Claire, Michael and Eve trying to save Shane from a horrible death because of his father's crimes. I couldn't believe what happened in some parts like the college dance massacre and the huge choice Michael had made. I wonder what's in store in the third book...

3.5 because not only does Claire have to be worried about vampires killing her but apparently every other human being in this town. Two attempted rapes, one abduction, SHE STILL WENT TO SCHOOL. I just don't get her... at all. Definitely enjoyed the first book way more. Also the dead girls' dance was like 20 pages long... when I thought it would be the main event, so that was disappointing. Also you'd think Claire would've learned her lesson by now. STAY IN THE F***ING HOUSE CLAIRE.
