Despite being a play (and therefore a quick read), it felt so slowly paced and I struggled to stay focused. Miller seemed to get bogged down in creating something intellectual/cerebral and got lost along the way. Take this commentary with a grain of salt because I reread Death of a Salesman after this and I’m generally not impressed with Miller’s writing style and content.

Arthur Miller's take on the Great Depression is a convoluted mess.
