That's it. I'm cutting Fucking-Twilight-recommending-Librarian off. He has yet to recommend a good book to me. I keep giving him another chance, and he keeps letting me down.

This should have been a totally great book. A misfit girl, orphaned and bullied, suddenly learns the secrets of hypnotism, and uses it to her advantage. How much fun is THAT? What misfit hasn't had that dream?

This goes from bizarre over the top fun to stupid over the top stupid.

And it has a happily ever after that involves the bullies, which makes me want to slap someone.

No more, FTRL. No more.

AAAAHHH I REMEMBER THIS BOOK!!!!
I read it way back when I thought the only criteria for a good book was a shiny cover with a 'doggy' on it.
Kid me enjoyed it, so other kids might as well give it a go too.

Still thinking about the teacher who didn't believe that I had read this book because it was so long and because I reviewed it by just standing up in front of the class and reading the back-cover blurb.

I first read this when it came out. I was twelve or thirteen at the time and I absolutely loved the story. I thought that it was time for a reread and I loved the story as I have loved it ten years ago.

Molly Moon is an orphan and an outsider. She gets picked on from everybody and drifts into daydreams of flying away from the orphanage into a better world. Everything changes when she finds a book about hypnotism and that's where the adventure begins!

I loved Molly Moon, she was my favorite character as a child and I still can emphatize with her. Also Petula, the pug, was so adorable. I loved that dog!

Although the story is almost 400 pages long, I almost flew through the story. It was gripping and funny and I just adored it!

Read this as a 10-11 year old and loved it. Was ill this week, so I decided to listen to the audiobook again. Still liked it. It's a fun story and it makes me wish I could use hypnosis.
