I'm becoming such a fan of K.C. Wells. This was fantasy, but that didn't throw me out of the story. It enhanced the story I think and let the circumstances of the relationship between the men be acceptable and I loved their bond. That little bit of magic and history thrown in was perfect. This was a good feels story and I absolutely loved it.

This was so good. It really worked all three of them together. I thought their world was really interesting. Too much goes on for me to be able to explain it. Love it!!

The language is just so effusive and cheesy. Maybe I'll give it another shot later, I'm just not in the mood.

The more I think about this book, the less satisfied with it I am. First, WTH is up with that cover? Both princes are described as being "olive" or "dark" skinned, yet we've got three dudes as pale as me on the front? Yeah, white-washing is never okay.
The story consists nearly entirely of sex and (very, very) sappy romance. Which is fine, and I do find both of these things enjoyable to read about sometimes, especially when polyamory/menage is involved. The sex is often pretty hot, although not always mechanically convincing (if anyone knows of a way to have the kind of intense three-way make-out sessions described here, please let me know, because I've clearly been missing out). Overall, the writing quality is decent, although some of the dialogue is hard to imagine anyone actually saying. The plot is pretty minimal, and what there is is completely unbelievable.
Spoiler(Yes, of course we're going to totally alter this social attitude so ingrained no one remembers where it came from just because the king orders us to. Yup. This is definitely a thing that has ever really happened anywhere.)
As a result, there's not a lot of conflict, and a good dose of *destiny* and insta-love banishes the worry that there might be romantic tension. The characters are bland and not always the most consistent in their characterization, and the setting is generic and lacking depth. Not the worst book I've ever read, but I may have talked myself down another star in the process of writing this review.

I absolutely loved this book. It hit all the right benchmarks for me: m/m polyamorous fantasy romance with its world equivalent to pleasure slaves. It was a fantastic read and the set up and world building was perfect! I absolutely loved the Seruani! They reminded me of the Feyra Heyr in Aisling Castilla's/Nix's Metaphor universe with their powers and their teachings of pleasure. The way Feyar, Tanish, and Sorran's relationship developed was beautifully done and this book is easily one I will read over time and again. It is a beautiful story and I hope for more in its universe because its world is amazing.

I really wanted to finish this book because the story about the politics and the world is engaging, but gosh darn it! The sex scenes are getting more frequent, and more unbearable. I don't know if it's the language used ("piercing," "entrance," etc) or just the writing style when it comes to the erotica, but I can't do it. I'm super disappointed too because it was bringing up communication between all three of them in order for a relationship to work, as well as curiosity about what the three linked hands mean that Sorran has in his chest and they found in the derelict temple. I also wonder if their treatment of Saurni has to do with why healers are vanishing and stuff. But my questions aren't intriguing enough to get past the MOST AWKWARD SEX SCENES.
