This is a book of essays all by the author. They are all about things in every day life. The stories are tender and touching and I really like his style. You can tell he's a huge fan of Rush, and injects a lot of personal commentary. The essays are short enough you can read one in a quick setting.

Essays are good for people who like to read blogs but want more length, breadth and depth. Madden makes all kinds of interesting connections between his own personal history, science, etymology, biblical literature, and pop culture. Will be a little esoteric for some tastes but I found it stimulating and frequently beautiful.
