I wanted to read this for a few reasons:
1) I thought there might be some decent dialogue in PTSD in some Flynn and Christian interactions.
And
2) I wanted to see if Christian recognised that Ana is a fucking idiot who doesn’t care about anything but herself. (Spoilers, he doesn’t).

Of course this is part of the EL James cash cow. I’m not going to deny her making her money because people have bought the same book from a different point of view. To each their own. And money talks.

I found it interesting how much more engrossing I found the story told from his point of view. Ana still annoyed me to the point of making rude noises whenever she did something SO FUCKING DUMB.
Half the plot in this book wouldn’t have existed if she’d used her damn mobile to email from the start.

I needed Christian to recognise the Elena is a pedophile. He didn’t. I needed him to realise shit isn’t his fault. He kind of didn’t. And I needed him to realise that he’s not a piece of shit for enduring his childhood. He didn’t.

I feel like the characters (even though they’re fanfiception) could have grown and changed and looking in his head could have given us small amounts of growth at least.
Instead, we have boring sex scenes, Ana being intentionally thickheaded, and Christian beating himself up left, right, and center.
Ana is still a manipulative person in this even if she doesn’t see it. Even if he doesn’t see it.

For so much potential I’m still as frustrated with this as I was with the others but I’d read this version hands down over the other.

I started reading the FSOG books out of pure curiosity. I will say that I prefer Christian's POV over Ana's. In fact, his POV makes me appreciate Ana much more. A lot of questions were answered, including "Why is he so obsessed with her?"
No book in this series is going to be phenomenal. EL James isn't a phenomenal writer, after all. But something about Christian Grey makes him nestle into your heart, and reading the books from his POV is rewarding in that you get to revel in his joy and contentment as well as his pain and uncertainty. You get to see his redemption, and you get to see him learn how to love and be loved. There's something uplifting about that, and it takes the sting away from the mediocre writing.

Anyone who is a reader and lover of the romance genre would have read, or at least heard of The Fifty Shades trilogy and know about Anastasia and Christians journey. This book, Darker, as you know is Fifty Shades Darker from Christian's point of view.

Being a fan of the Fifty Shades Trilogy, and loving Grey, the first book from Christian's point of view, I was eager to ready this one.

I loved Christian's point of view in Darker so much more. It gives us such an insight into Christian's mind, and why he did or said certain things in the original book that may have left you wondering about.

I was particularly interested in Christian's POV regarding, lets call it 'the helicopter incident', just in case anyone hasn't read it, and I was not disappointed.

Although i have loved the series from Christian's POV much more than the original three books, I'm not sure I would have if I only read Christian's POV. I think to gain maximum benefit you need to read the original trilogy before reading Grey, and then Darker.

Looking forward to the third book from Christian's POV

Not much to say about this one, a great read for fans of the original series and a cool insight into a very interesting character.

There's some awesome drama in this second book, so it's fantastic to see those scenes from Christian's pov (and I can't wait for the final book to come out from Christian's pov).
