Positive basic intro for lgbt youth, but lacking detail and also seems to have some incorrect definitions / info around some identities.

It’s not the best. If you read it for anything, read it for the sex-ed and the info on how to come out, but really a lot of the information is outdated, especially the info about trans people. I can appreciate the intention, I think they were trying their best, but in the last decade a lot has changed, so it’s best to seek contemporary guides. That being said if you’re desperate, it’s still a good resource, just read with a grain of salt. Also, their definition of pansexual is incorrect. ALWAYS DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH.

This is a solid informative book. Really packs in a lot of information. Reminded me of the Pride meetings at my University in some ways.

Good advice on for any teen. Common sense about talking to parents, who to trust, how to act online. I found the clarifications about terms to be helpful.

Great advice on most things, especially dating, but very problematic around gender and trans* identities.
