An incredible piece of theological and philosophical reasoning. An absolutely garbage translation that makes many sections of the text impenetrable. I suggest reading the translation in Oxford's collection of Anselm's major works edited and translated by Davies and Evans. Unfortunately, this is the version I was assigned for class. Any time this translation made no sense to me I went to the Davies/Evans version and it was so much more clear and beautifully translated.
