I’m so very very frustrated/annoyed with this book.

Joe and Bryce have this big secret that Ted Morse is hinting and threatening them about…. The “big secret” is they seemed to have forgotten that a friend “died” while spending the weekend with them and Bryce’s dad at his cabin… when they were only 9 years old.
Both are acting like this is some huge deal that could in some way implicate them in a crime. It’s preposterous. Just call the police and say, “Hey Ted Morse is up to something, but he triggered a repressed memory. I had no reason not to believe my dad at the time, but now I’m worried that our friend Justin may have been another victim of my father’s.”
And then the police would look into it. No detective would be like, “WHAT! You are definitely involved because you assumed your father was a good person and he told you he took the body to the police. No 9 year old child could possibly buy that story and listen to their father”
It’s just dumb and if you can’t tell, I’m extremely annoyed.

Also, Ted called Bryce right when Talon alerted Bryce to the fact that Marj was MIA. He said “she’s with my son at the hotel”. I’m sorry what? Nobody is questioning how he knew they were looking for her right then? He’s obviously watching them, he has cameras or something in at least one of their houses, but nobody acts like that’s a big deal at all. The man is psychic or he’s watching them.

Oh, and Daphne has been stolen, but that is weirdly not that big of a deal… like it’s brought up and then kind of forgotten about and glossed over. Super weird.

These books are all relatively short, but they still spend a lot of time repeating things over and over and over.. if the author cut out that nonsense we’d only be on book 4 instead of book 11. Even my library stopped carrying this series after book 9, they must have realized it was nonsense. But me being me I am going to keep reading the whole dumb series getting more and more angry that I’m wasting my time and money, but I need answers.

This book ends on a major cliffhanger. I’m going to assume Justin isn’t dead and he abducted Marj. Also, the trainer is somehow involved. Maybe he’s Justin and just looks really young for his age. Maybe he’s Spider. I don’t know. Maybe Justin is Spider. This whole series is very soap opera like, anything wildly unlikely and majorly coincidental can and will happen.

Miss Hardt certainly know know how to write suspense. With all the drama, Ravenous is better than the previous book.

I usually do not like the character feels sorry for themselves. In this case, Bryce. But listening to the whole story I know it is necessary for Miss Hardt to make it that way. Good thing Marjorie is a a character who can stand on her ground.

The suspense continue....

Book 11 in the Steel Brothers Saga definitely did not disappoint. With a whole new mystery afoot, I've been really invested in trying to figure out what is happening. Marjorie was such a force to be reckoned with in this installment. I thought she held her own so well and I'm glad she got Bryce to finally verbalize what he wants. I also felt so much passion for all of the characters and everything that continues to happen to the,. This one also had some fark spots, but I thought Hardt handled them with care. I'm truly loving this series and I loved watching the family continue to grow both mentally and in terms of family members. I'm excited to see Marj and Bryce continue their love story and ready to see more of the mystery be revealed.

"It's not my heart that's ⁣
the problem, sweetheart. It's my ⁣
soul." ⁣

Marjorie has to try to move on from Bryce but they just can't seem to let each other go. Gone. Gone. Gone. Just like several others they know. Gone. They are still trying to wrap up all of the loose ends that haunt their families. Even more secrets are revealed. Does it ever end? ⁣

I absolutely loved this book just as much as I have the other 10 books from the series. The Steel Brothers saga is what made me fall in love with reading and I am not ready for that journey to end. One more book to go.

Okay,

Woah.... what the hell Helen? Why you gotta do that? Why you gotta end it like that? And why the hell am I even surprised? You do this every chance you get, and everyone knows you are the Queen of Cliffhangers! Gah!

Alright, so where to start?
Firstly, if you are new to this series/author, you need to know that this series cannot be read as a standalone and you will have to start from Craving (Book 1) to get any sense of what’s actually going on. This series is not for the faint of heart. It tackles some pretty intense topics and could possibly be a trigger for some...

And now, holy crap... I am at this author's mercy when it comes to this series of books. I have been from the start. Ms. Hardt knows how to pull her readers in and keep their attention from start to finish.

I'm not sure how I am going to review this and keep it spoiler-free, but here goes...

Marj had always come across to me as an out-going, fun, loving, kind-hearted character, and she is all those things, but as we dive in deeper to her part of this insanely intense, all-consuming and crazy story, I see a much deeper level to Marj, one that kind of hits home for me in away. Her brother may have been the one that has gone through the worst of the worst when it comes to trauma and all this hell that has consumed this family through their childhood and now as adults.... But Marj also struggles herself with everything that's happened... and I feel it leaves her with some underlining issues. Well, of course, it would. Especially after the way, Bryce left her at the end of Breathless (Book 10) and the way she copes with it was heartbreaking and so damn real for me. I sure as hell did not see it coming though... But she doesn't stay down for long. She gets back up on her two feet, fighting to be stronger and not let this heartbreak eat her alive, and she makes plans, plans in which she hopes will help her rid herself of these feelings she has for her brother's best friend... She meets someone new at the gym and starts to move forward... Or so I thought...

Bryce? I am torn when it comes to him. Apart of me wants to reach into the book and slap this dude upside the head after what he does to Marj. But the other part of me? My heart breaks for this man. He's been through hell and back just as much as the Steel family. After finding out the truth about who his now-dead father is and was, he struggles to let go of it and find peace in his life. He holds guilt among so much more emotions, and that guilt has planted itself deep and left him with some deep-seated issues that are now affecting his everyday life, and especially his love life.

These two together? Well damn... They can't deny the way they feel about each other, and as much as they fight it, it's still there and even though Bryce is trying to keep his distance that is seeming to be very difficult, not only because he is Marj's brothers best friend but because he can't keep away her. His heart lies with her, and he can try and fight that and push her away all he likes, but the heart wants what the heart wants...

Nothing is as it seems for this family. Just when things start the ease and the water around this family calms... Something major happens and throws everyone off guard, including myself!! just when I thought this family had been through enough... Ms. Hardt throws me off my game and delivers a plot thick with twists and turns, mystery and suspense that had me on the edge of my seat gripping my kindle so tight that I am surprised it didn't snap in two.

What does the future hold for Bryce and Marj? If there is a future for them. What has the author got up her sleeve?

As always, Helen blows my mind and weaves her words together and delivers another amazing installment to the Steel Brothers Saga. Be prepared for the unexpected. Be prepared for this author rip your heart out while it's pounding a mile a minute and then... THEN she will leave you on one hell of a cliffhanger and questioning your own sanity...

One thing I can say is...
READ. THE. BOOK!!

UGHHH, Hurry up, January... Hanging by a thread here.

5 STARS!

First of all this is Book 11 of a series that HAS to be read in order to be understood, These are not at all stand alone novels.

Ravenous was a mind boggling journey through Marjorie and Brice's story. As they continue to fight their feelings for each other but eventually succumb the family is rocked by another possible scandal being held over Brice and Jonah's heads by Ted Morse. They hide the problem from everyone in the family until it comes to light in an intimate moment and it spirals out from there. Intrigue and worry about the scandal is suddenly overlaid by the disappearances of key family members at the end of the book.

Book 11 of the Steel brothers is just as phenomenal as the other ten books and Helen Hardt makes us yearn for Brice and Marjorie to realize how they feel and just get together already! The problems that begin to plague the family at the end of book 10 are expanded upon and explained in book 11 and I can not wait to read the final book in the series!
