Another hit by Jasmine Guillory. I finished The Wedding Date and immediately moved on to this one. Cute, sweet, and funny, this book is a good read. You don't have to read The Wedding Date first, but it would explain some things.

Nik's boyfriend of far too short a time proposes to her on the scoreboard at the Dodgers game - she wasn't expecting the proposal and he spells her name wrong, what a keeper. She says no, and he shows his true colors. Carlos, Drew's best friend in The Wedding Date, and his sister, Angela, save her from the press. After a very short time, Nik and Carlos get together, and start falling for each other. Even though they both think it's casual, it's not.

Features lots of sweet cupcakes, women learning to defend themselves, and an adorable scene in the kitchen where Nik learns why you wear gloves and don't touch your face when you're chopping hot peppers.
