I picked this up because the synopsis sounded so promising! I instantly was sucked into the story in chapter 1, wanting to know where this story was going to take me.

Camille is a character that my heart just breaks for. Her grief over the loss of her daughter has her spiraling, and at first I was all for her finding solace in becoming part of The Collective. The anger she feels of people telling her how to feel her grief was so relatable, and I wanted all of these women to find justice for their children that were taken from them too soon. These women were terrifying though! The cult like vibes really just made me want to figure out how it all ended because it obviously wasn’t going to end well.

By the midway point, I was making notes and trying to piece everything together - which is what makes an amazing thriller in my opinion. When I read a psychological thriller I love to guess who is doing what and I definitely didn’t see the twists coming at the end! My jaw was on the floor at times. I was really curious on how Alison Gaylin would wrap up the ending, and she nailed it! It left me speechless and instantly wanting to find someone who has read the book so that I could discuss. Overall this was a fun thriller with a really unique concept!

Just the right level of feminist rage that I needed. And the ending was excellent if just a tiny bit rushed.

This book was highly disturbing, which I guess is good for a thriller. Like after reading it I really wanted to know if the author is ok. The plot was unique and although I had a hunch about one of the twists at the end, I was genuinely surprised by most of the end.

Had I not been so busy at work I would have finished this in a day max 2 days! The story was wild and I just needed to know what happened. When I wasn’t reading it I was thinking about it and what would happen next. I didn’t feel it was super predictable and seriously kept my interest and it was different while still having that suspense feel. There were some parts where the main characters thinking drive me insane but other than that an enjoyable read. Super dark though!

A good thriller with a unique storyline. This one will have me thinking for a few days and would make a good book club read as there's a lot of conversation to be had around so many of the themes and subplots presented. I dropped a half star because of something that happens at the very end.
