I knew before that Wilson was a supremely talented cartoonist, turns out he was also a talented writer, and the kind of generous, passionate critic who makes his entire genre better with his enthusiasm. His loss is even more keenly felt.

A collection of Wilson's work for The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, this book is a lot of fun. The cartoons are great, the stories are good (and short), and the book reviews focus mostly on horror, with lots of anthologies, which is rare and very interesting. Also there are lots of monsters.
