This is tough. I read this book for Indigenous Heritage Month and rating memoirs low always feels wrong. This book was sad, but I’m still not entirely sure what happened? It felt so pieced together, I struggled getting to know any of the “characters” in the book, and it was too jumbled up. There were definitely parts that I felt but I could never tether myself to them because I wasn’t invested in the story.
