very good. the ending made me kind of sad since Rsoe was leaving lissa there at the school, while she goes off on her own to keep her promise to her love.

[re-read for my Greatest Hits Bookshelf Tour 2017]
With these first three Vampire Academy books, it's certainly a roller coaster that only goes up. This book is definitely why I love(d?) this series, because in a lot of ways, it's the pinnacle of this series, the first series: it's fun, it's got Adrian Fucking Ivashkov, Lissa and Christian are cutie little sweetie pies, and we get to experience a few blissful moments wherein we believe Dimitri might actually be dead...but all roller coasters must come down.

And so, I move on to Blood Promise, which is tied with Last Sacrifice for being most worst annoying dumb thing in a vampire series I used to love more than air which has a spinoff vampire-witch-alchemist series that I love more than air. Here we go. It can only get worse before it gets better so LET'S DO THIS.

Man that last line. What an epic story this book was. I can’t wait to see Rose develop into herself. I’m glad she finally left the academy and even though I’m not happy for the reason I’m glad. She can finally become Rose and not just Lisa’s guardian. I’m happy she had that final talk with her and showed that she wasn’t always just about Lissa that sometimes it was about Rose. And I can’t wait to continue with Rose and Dimitri’s story.

Reread: 29/07/22: gosh this book, absolutely incredible. So much has happened. The attack on the academy with all the strigoi, the rescue mission, Dmitri being taken, Rose finally thinking about herself for once and beginning to live for her self. I never could be as strong as her, she’s made of metal. Absolutely incredible. I just appreciate this series so much more now.
