This is one of those where we see new personal life stuff for Eve and Roarke! It's perfect, since it is one of the things that shows us their lives aren't at a stand still. There's also further growth in their relationship, which is a welcome addition this far into the series.

The murders this time are really hitting the sympathy chords. From the get-go, I'm already feeling bad for everyone who died because you see the reactions of their loved ones who were with them at the time.

There are different parts of the police investigation that take more of the limelight in this book. It keeps things interesting!

Susan Ericksen's narration is as on point as always. She's expressive and makes the characters come alive.

All in all, it's a book that has a lot of fresh scenes!

I have an idea about the traffic accident (this won't make any sense unless you've read the book).
What if Willow terrorized her stepmother and somehow scared her out onto the street, where she ran into oncoming traffic? Probably didn't happen though, as Willow would have bragged about it in interview if she was responsible. But this thought ran through my head.
