You'd Look Better as a Ghost is a humorous novel about a serial killer. Claire is your average serial killer. She is an easygoing person, unless you slight her in any way and then you will find yourself on her list of people to kill. She feels she is a reasonable person and these people truly deserve what they get. Sometimes they are abusive to her but other times they are just ordinary people going about their lives and they happen to upset her. She also recently lost her father which is affecting her more than she anticipated. She was doing so well with not killing people but that nursing home nurse was so vile to mistreat her father so, really, she had no other choice.

Claire is not a great person, but she's a witty, whip-smart serial killer who I found it easy to root for for the duration of this novel. I found myself laughing out loud at some of the dark humor and will be looking for more from this author, especially if it's more like this one.
