This anthology is comprised of a number of different stories, each featuring a small animal (sometimes a shifter, sometimes not) and their story.
Keeping in mind that the stories were supposed to be about different things, I felt reading it was a mixed bag. Some were more confusing (in an unpleasant way) than others, and some were simply better written. I don’t think most of the stories had too much to do with the theme discussed by the publisher in the beginning.
The only story I felt was worth re-reading was “The Slime That Binds Us” (in honesty, I follow the author on Instagram, but the story caught my attention of its own accord, no bias at all for the author present).
I did enjoy this anthology about smaller animals, but I am not sure how much I’d recommend to others.
