i love derek jarman so much but don’t really know anyone else who does with whom i could talk to so engaging with some critique of his work was good for my sanity. i liked the way it was structured, enjoyed the fact that his non fiction books, painting, gardening and other mediums were discussed as their own works, not just in relation to the films.
