This really nails modern gothic Gotham and sets up Bruce character with interesting mystery. I'm not interested in side story but this first issue shows a lot of potential.

Off to a strong start. Both stories were great. The art was stellar in both.

This is one of those weird like, surrealist sort of vibes I'm getting so far, and the art is really off and on for me. There's some panels I just sit and look at because I'm in awe at how well they encapsulate what's being drawn and others where I'm like... ehh.
I have read parts of this run before, but I can't pretend I remember much about it other than the like, internal demon thing was weird and I'm wondering where it's going.

Im always trying to hop into a Batman story at the beginning and usually failing. I am an atrociously bad comics fan, usually waiting until the storylines are bound into a trade for me to read them. But for once I have succeeded. The first issue was enticing, sets up a mystery quickly, had an intriguing backup story at the end. I get a little leary when I hear talk of Barbatos and demons, because my favorite Batman is usually the detective side rather than the paranormal. But, I am a fan of horror comics so I will continue onto the next issue.
