Izark and Noriko are the point of this series, aren't they? It seems like there's a shift in focus in this volume towards The Plot and away from the unexplainable-yet-adorable chemistry between the leads. Vol 7 basically tied up the parts of the story I care about (*cough* the romance *cough*) in a big bow, and I think maybe I should have left it there? We'll see.

Action scenes were hard to follow; the sound effects take up a lot of space. A lot of terrible stuff happens very quickly. I was hoping that Izark and Noriko's relationship would have progressed more after 3 months together alone. In other stories, 2 people in love traveling would have developed their romance far more.
