finally catching up on my book club reads! this book had me hooked!!! didn’t care for the many many chapters though. seriously must have been ~50-60 chapters for a 300 page book just felt excessive.

I went into this book with low expectations because the last two Lucy Foley books I read, I barely enjoyed. There are always too many characters to remember and they are just very slow moving, boring books.
I can see how some would say this is a slow book as well but for some reason I stayed intrigued. The story itself was just so good! There were moments I was bored and skimmed a bit but overall it was a very entertaining book to read!
And that twist at the end *chef's kiss*.

Ok wow! I hadn’t read any books by this author before but I was very surprised with this mystery! There were so many plot twists that literally left my jaw on the floor! It took a little bit to get into because it switches point of view between lots of different characters and the clues are slowly revealed to put the full picture together.
Considering I don’t read mystery stories much, I very much enjoyed this one and now looking into other titles by her.

Another very enjoyable read by Lucy Foley. Great twists from beginning to end. First book I read in the 2024 summer reading challenge. Olympic themed this first book fills the prompt “set in Paris”
