I love how consistently Miss Marple is underestimated because of her appearance and gender. If she weren't a goodie, I bet she'd make a great murderer. This one has some overlap in detail with the Sayers novel I'm reading right now, so I got confused a couple of times about which clues went with which story. Once I got it straight, though, this was a pleasant listen.

Another excellent Ms Marple mystery, even if I did manage to guess the ending. There were still plenty of twists and turns I didn’t predict that Agatha Christie is always excellent enough to deliver. The nursery rhyme aspect of the murder was a great touch, and Ms Marple’s own involvement seemed much more plausible after the ending.

Look, I'm biased, okay? Agatha Christie is called the Queen of Crime for a reason, and she's never better than when she's taking nursery rhymes and making convoluted murderous plots out of them. Would the murderer probably have got away with it if they just quietly stabbed their victim in a back alley? Almost certainly! Do I care? NOT AT ALL. This book is glorious.
