This was a really cute book that tries to answer the age old dilemma of can any kid can get away with eating a doughnut, especially one with powder surgar.

I chuckled at this "mystery." I also enjoyed the city setting and diverse cast of characters.

I do like a picture book that lets the reader figure out what's going on before the protagonist does.

I think this one would make a cute read aloud to younger children.

Super cute picture book about a donut mystery. Everyone calls the little boy "Sheriff" and his dog "deputy." If I were still planning Mommy and Me Book Club, I would use this story and serve powdered and sprinkled donuts.
