A cute counting book that lets children discuss who they are and who they might wish to be, done with lovely drawings and a charming rhyming scheme!

Danica McKellar's ways of making math concepts approachable is definitely a winning one.

Actually 3.5. The mission to incorporate more math is truly admirable. This jumps around with the numbers a bit (although it was almost getting tedious, so I'm glad it skipped ahead) I really liked the back matter, with McKellar even asking people to email her with ways to use the book and numbers. It's a little hard to describe; a bit sing-songy without being catchy.

Beautiful illustrations and great story. It's a bit long for younger ages, but would be great for preschool storytimes.

Rhyme scheme is a little forced but could be a good resource for teaching number combinations to ten (especially if you have butterfly and flower manipulative for ten frames).

Absolutely adorable book that helps introduce kids to math. There's more than one way to make 10! Loved it!
