Images would have been nice :') Disclaimer: if you read this late at night and you start a stream of consciousness and end up imagining what most of these plants' and animals' reproductive practices would look like for humans ... yeah ... let's say there is no good time to read this book, but it's also a really well-written, slightly outdated book (packed with sex facts) worth reading!
While the information in the book is really interesting, I am not a fan of the way it was written.

I read this book for a college class. It was highly enjoyable and overall a lovely supplement to the course material. The writing can sometimes get a bit confusing as Judson mixes her conversational writing style with the necessary scientific jargon, but that being said, it was a great read.

Bits of this were really fascinating, but the gimmick got tiresome pretty quickly, and I think the gimmick got in the way of absorbing the information because, while I remember that bits were fascinating, the morning after finishing it I no longer remember what those bits were.
