I'm still not sure what to think of this series. The Clue like endings always throw me for a loop and I finish the books thinking, yeah, okay, that happened.

This book picked up pretty much where the previous one left off, or within days of it, during Middy's wedding. I'm still confused on the World Mythology on this series, possibly because things change so often from book to book. And I still feel that the series could benefit by slowing down the pace a little bit to really explain the world DeWylde is trying to create here.

Overall it's a decent book that I enjoyed reading, I just wish I didn't always end these books feeling a little bit like I've got reading whiplash and I'm confused.

Aaaaand with the mention of someone getting their red wings, I'm out.

Someone throw something at Falcon. He took WAY too long to get his mind right where Tally was concerned. So long that he almost lost her. Man can be such idiots! Glad he came to his senses.

Made the mistake of reading this without reading the other 2 in the series. It kicks off right into the world DeWylde's created from the previous 2 books and it takes a lot of getting used to.

But then it was kinda boring.

And I didn't swoon for Falcon (which is a shame because with a name like that you have serious expectations).

And it felt like there was way too much going on.

But on the plus side there was Ethelred.

But on the negative side there was Luminista. And a rather confusing world that didn't really interest me but more so dragged out the plot.

So 2 stars.
