The Research Guides are fantastic! They supplement the books so well. There were times I used these Guides on projects in middle and high school.

This is a non-fiction accompaniment to the first Magic Tree House book Dinosaurs Before Dark. Full of details supposedly uncovered by the novel's protagonists, this book is aimed at those kids who are dinosaur crazy, but are only reading the fiction version of dinosaurs. Good book for a classroom for research projects, but most likely not something a child will treasure as a classic.

I had not read any Magic Tree House books. I was pleasantly surprised. This Fact Finding series is a great way to give your child background knowledge. We'll definitely be reading more.

Didn't necessarily agree with everything in the book but the pictures and illustrations we're good, good companion to MTH #1.
