Hmm… The book was good enough. I liked seeing the battle between good and evil but idk if I’m satisfied with the end of the story… I guess I have to read the third book to get some answers, but overall it was a nice story.

My heart was moved by the danger and plight of inner city kids and gangs. Also the further development of Marcus's faith and MC's struggles.

The second book in the series was just as good as the first. It is always lovely when we are able to reconnect with old characters and learn more about others who were secondary. I am looking forward to the third book in the series. It promises to be an interesting book as this one ended on a cliffhanger.

Good fun read, it kept me wanting to read more. A couple dark/tense parts, but mostly relaxing enjoyable read.

I don't mind romance novels. I do mind romance novels driven by miscommunication. This plot is a prime example of that very problem. Mary Catherine is in love with Marcus. It's obvious and they both feel the same. What does she do? Refuses to tell him about her heart problems of course!

For all her talk about living to the full and trusting God, Mary Catherine does the exact opposite in this situation. Instead of praying about it (there's very little day-to-day communication with God in this book) and trusting Marcus to make his own decisions, she keeps it to herself, acts like she knows best and doesn't surrender this area of her life to Christ. The last quarter of the book, with her trip to Uganda sounds exactly like her walking in her own wisdom and refusing to listen to God or his messages. Literally, an angel comes up to her and offers her a message from God and she essentially ignores it in the last chapters of the book!

The rest of the novel is fine, which is why this is three stars, but the entire romance subplot is ridiculous and strains my sense of disbelief, especially in a Christian novel.

This book was definitely better than the first book in this series. I was really excited to see what would happen to the characters that I loved in the first book.

This book is about the character named Mary Catherine. We meet her in the first book but this time she is the main character. Its about her and her friends as they are setting up a youth center in the most dangerous area of LA. It is about how they deal with the gangs and so much more.

It was so awesome I had a hard time putting this book down. This is the only book so far that I have been able to get through the first 193 pages in a day. It was that good and I loved the characters and the angels that were a part of this book. They were all awesome and they grew a lot more within this book and I had a lot of fun to read.

Mary Catherine irritated me a little bit because she would not allow herself to fall in love, even though she did start to but kept telling herself not to, all because she has this heart condition. But in a way I kinda understood because she does not have a lot of time left and does not want to hurt the guy that she is falling in love with.

Everything that happened in this book made me really happy and enjoyed the book series more and made me so excited for the next book to see what happens to the characters but sad that I have to wait another year for the next book to come out.
