I enjoyed the overall plot and the meaning but I just didn’t like the writing style.
The plot felt dragged out, and did not need some of Phaedra’s perspectives. Not too keen on the different perspectives overall. But I did like how we got to see different perspectives of women’s suffering.
I wasn’t really connected to the characters as well so couldn’t enjoy this as much as I would have wanted.
The plot overall I really enjoyed. I am left heartbroken for both Ariadne and Phaedra’s ending. I love an unhappy / not lighthearted story and ending.
If the writing style was different, I think I could’ve enjoyed this more. But I was waiting for certain chapters to be over and hoping more from Ariadne.
Saint does know how grow tension though and bring anticipation to the story. This is something that made this novel a better read.
