Rho haas fallen and rose between thesr pages, yet she faces many hard choices. Even though she wants to think of herself and the life she wants or had, Rho is aware she must pit the Zodiac first to be able to have those moments.

The only thing that I disliked was the love-triangle (although I did dislike it a lot). The found-family between the characters and the perspectives on grief, leadership, unity, and belonging were all highlights, for sure. There were a lot of times where I wanted to hate Rho, but if I were in her shoes I’d be making the same mistakes or worse, and she has grown a lot since the previous book. The world-building continues to be beyond incredible (it’s by far the best part of the book) and the plot was very engaging.
This book definitely made me feel…whether it was annoyance, shock, that good-romance-line feeling, you name it, I felt it and probably had to close the book in order to cope.
Similar to the first book, this one reminded me a lot of Shadow and Bone, Divergent, and The Hunger Games in terms of the plot and the characters. (Also, Hysan is so much like Nikolai Lantsov!)
