“The Wide Window” is the weakest entry in “A Series of Unfortunate Events” thus far, as it largely disposes of the orphans’ guardian by chapter five, while only sparsely illustrating Lachrymose Lake and the surrounding areas. The finely-titled Captain Sham is a strong disguise for Olaf, the scene in the Anxious Clown is quite memorable and the roles of the Baudelaires are the most balanced yet, which offset the early flaws.

A warning about the perils of being a jerk about grammar.

The Baudelaire children are now under the care of their weird Aunt Josephine. She lives in a rickety house that stands on stilts overtop a rocky shore and she is afraid of doorknobs.

The things children can go through and survive. Adults always think children can't do anything but when the time comes they can. Definately going to finish the whole series soon
