It's quite uneven and heavy on jargon, making it unnecessarily difficult to get through, as well as a bit jarring to read because of the distracting number of citations - around 700 over the 160 pages of text.

Looking past that, the sections on Romulo and Lopez were worth checking out and much better developed and written than the ones on Osias and Araneta. It's also quite ideologically one-sided as well, but given that it's a side infrequently explored and defended, I'd still recommend this book for anyone interested in Philippine politics in the post-WW2 period.
