I came across this after reading about the exhibit at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in their journal/magazine. It included great essays and a very inclusive catalog and was an enjoyable read. For an art historian it was a little too touchy-feely and lacking in analysis of the iconography and symbolism, and also repetitive throughout the essays - though there was probably no coordination between the authors, so this makes sense. Still, it led to a number of other resources I'd like to check out, and was an enjoyable read.
