I had to DNF. The FMC has changed so much since the first book, I understand 10 years have lapsed between books but the character is so different this should've been a new story with new characters and it would've been less disappointing. 
I also realize the era this book was written in compared to now, but the body shaming, toxic relationship, narcissistic miscommunication trope is just too much.
