I have gone on and on about how much I love Liz and Steph's writing and reading Depths just put that even more into perspective. I read Lengths when it was released and I loved it and when I received Depths to read I was extremely excited. However due to an ever growing review pile I have been unable to read Depths until my week off work. I wish I had read it sooner, I stayed up ridiculously late to finish this book in one sitting and I was not left disappointed (unless you count the fact I have to wait for ever to read the next instalment). Depths is told with multiple points of view, from Cohen and Maren, ensuring we get to see both sides of their story.
I loved Whit and Deo in Lengths, and now I love Cohen even more. We meet him after he has just had amazing sex with girlfriend Kensley, who then proceeds to break up with him to pursue her dream of going to Hollywood and she needs to do it alone without Cohen hanging around (which after getting to know Cohen, she made a VERY BIG mistake in leaving him).
Maren has on again off again boyfriend Jason, she also works at the warehouse site of Rodriguez Family Furnishings. She ensures the the shop where Cohen works has all items in stock that they need which involves daily phone calls to speak to Cohen with some flirting from both sides.
Jason is a complete idiot who doesn't understand what he has with Maren and wastes it trying to hook up with Ally.
As a rule I read requested books before unsolicited ones, and after finishing Depths I am regretting that rule. Depths was amazing, it has everything you need in a book, sexy men, tortured souls, damsel in distress who won't ask for help, romance, friendship. I demolished Depths and from the moment I finished I began impatiently waiting for Limits to be released. I love the world that Steph and Liz have created, along with the characters that fill it.
I didn't think it was possible to love characters as much as I loved Whit and Deo, but I was proven wrong by reading Depths. I loved getting to see Deo and Maren when they actually meet and the tentative steps they take in their friendship. I love that Deo is doing what is right for Maren and not what he wants. He respects her sort of relationship with Jason and I respect him for that, it took a lot for him to step back and we get to see how he feels about it.
The characters in these books hold a special place in my heart and while I am counting down the days to read the next instalment, I am also dreading the moment when there will be no more of these amazing books to read.

I love these two authors together! Bought this book after reading and loving Lengths. Cohen was little less sexy than Deo. He's more...boring I guess, but still cute and readable. Maren had a bit more meat to her character and Cohen was the perfect guy to save her from herself. I love the way Reinhardt and Campbell alternate POV chapters, it's a format that really works for them. This is a fun, little beach read. I'll definitely be picking up the next on in the Lengths series about Cohen's sister Genevieve.

2.75 - I didn't really connect with the characters, which was surprising because I really liked Cohen in the first book.

I liked this one. Maren and Carlos.... Carlo... Calvin... Carmen... wait, its Cohen! their so cute, and sweet. too bad no one could get his name right.
