This was an interesting hard-boiled thriller but I think it’s suffered from being falsely advertised as a romance. Warning for violence and language.

I really adored this! The writing is so evocative, but also really engaging and I definitely felt transported to Mexico City in the 1970s. Intense, but also really fun and pulpy. Can’t wait to read something else by Moreno-Garcia (and enjoying her spotify playlist of songs mentioned in the book)
