Door By Door is such a great book!!!! I was unaware of Sarah McBride or her story before this book. I really love the way this cis author presents Sarah’s story.  Meeg Pincus really does a great job of depicting Sarah’s childhood struggles in an authentic way, without getting too deep into the trans pain narrative.
My favorite parts were the author’s notes in the back, on how to be a great trans ally as a cisgender person, as well as providing a glossary of political terms and a selected bibliography.

I am so glad this picture book exists! I learned about Sarah McBride from reading the anthology Authentic Selves. I was so happy to learn there's a picture book biography about her.

This is such an important book to introduce the story of Sarah McBride and trans folks more broadly to young readers. I enjoyed learning more about Sarah's journey to office and appreciate the lessons embedded in the text, including how to be a trans ally as a cis person, identifying historical trans icons, and also vocabulary for continued civic engagement.

Sarah McBride’s book is a great coming of age tale. Truly appreciated the space to hear her leadership journey and what drives her current policy endeavors.
