Nice quick read, adds a little bit to the story.
HOWEVER I'd recommend buying the kindle version instead of paying out for the hardback. The story Virgins only makes up for about 1/2 the book, the other is made up by the first few chapters of Outlander. If you already own Outlander then save yourself some money and just buy the kindle version at £1.99.

While this was a nice short read, and I enjoyed learning more about Jamie’s life before Claire was in it, but the story didn’t grip me as much as I would’ve liked. Was a nice way to catch up on my reading goal though!

This book is a spin off of the Outlander series and it does the series justice. It’s the story of Jamie and Ian as younger men, kind of a prequel. I don’t particularly like all the Outlander-based books that weren’t part of the series but this one I found very enjoyable.
