An old favorite from when kiddo was late elementary or early middle school aged. I reread it this year out of nostalgia, as kiddo prepares for college. It covers a bit about Stone Age humans, then a variety of ancient civilizations. I was pleased that it went beyond the Fertile Crescent and Europe.
