The book was very well written. I think the story just wasn’t for me. I didn’t connect with the characters.

Ok. I thought the pace of the plot was good and the story was interesting and the chemistry was good. But I'm stuck on the way that there were so many all-or-nothing relationship conflicts (protagonist cutting off her parents, bestie icing protagonist out, abrupt break ups with the love interest) despite the misunderstandings and harms being relatively small? And this contrasted with the fact that the love interest was full of red flags that were all explained away as him taking commitment TOO seriously. I loved the characters, I liked the book, but I think I didn't fully trust the emotional reactions and behaviour of the characters. It felt kind of unnatural.

The characters were frustrating at times, but that was part of their charm. Although a bit naive, they felt honest and real.

Only critiques are that the story felt a bit dragged out and some of the character conflicts didn’t make much sense (re: Angie & Nia).
