3 surreal stories about love and loss. I am a big big fan of Hiromi Kawakami. I don't always understand the purpose of her tales but the way she writes is so beautiful and tender.

Like Alice in Wonderland did hard drugs with Salvador Dali and then went to a screening of a film directed by David Lynch and Claire Denis.
Weird weird weird.

A very strange read. I can't say I enjoyed it too much, and hitch is a shame. The second story is the best of the lot, and least weird.

A fun little romp divided into three short stories. While the first one was my favorite of the three, it was also the most abstract. I loved the whimsy of it all and while it did take me a bit to get used to the flow of things, I fell in love with the characters and their journey. I like to imagine there were two narrators, but I may have been missreading it.
The other two stories are fine but not as poignent as the "night too brief" and I'm thankful for it being the leading story.
I can't really say much without spoiling the experience, but I recommend it for a short, bittersweet and trippy type of afternoon.
