Given by the author for an honest review for her Blog Tour

It is one of the sweetest, most beautiful and most magical stories I've ever had the pleasure of reading..

Alexis is such a strong woman..She is a real fighter..Being raised mysef by a single mother,I honestly understand how difficult her life became after that tragedy..Alexis is everything every woman aspires to be..Strong,Independent,surrounded by loyal and fiercely devoted friends and family and finally adored and worshipped by a perfect man..

Garett is such an honorable man..He has loved Alexis, since he met her and never stopped..I always like these stories, because real love is like fate..When it happens,it simply happens..You can't take it back or turn it around..It's just there..

And I loved that loving Alexis and actually being with her changed him..Something really special happned with Garett in this book..Him loving her and wanting her to be happy is what changed his ways..Not herself..He didn't have to alter anything..Simply being with her was enough to make him realise what he's been missing in his life..Well,he knew what he was missing, but he didn't know it was possible for him to have..

This book is really special..It speaks volumes about a persons strength..about a mother's love..And about how a real man treats a woman..With respect and love..It speaks about the meaning of family, not the one created by blood but the one created by the heart..

Love is what makes people family..Blood is just something you may or may not have in common..

It's really close to my heart and I couldn't love it more than I do..

I liked the storyline of this book. I think the writting was done pretty well too. However, the characters were not exactly up to my liking. I understand where they were coming from but I didn't really feel a connection with either of them. Alexis was to wishy washy on her emotions. One minute she wanted Garrett the next she didn't. I understand it all I really do. I just didn't like it. Garrett was a very sweet sweet man. Almost to sweet. i think Alexis needed someone to be strong for her and Garrett let her push him around. I love how enamoured he was with her and I wish a man would want me that way one day. I think their personalities just clashed and made them weak characters. The story was good and so was the writting. This could all me just me being used to more Alpha males. There were moments that the Alexis would say he used a tone that used no argument but he never pushed. Overall the story worked and I will continue to read the series.

Oh the feels of this book. This book is truly a story of love, loss and finding that love again. The tragedy that happened to Alexis is something anyone would struggle to overcome. Enter Garrett and he sweeps her on her feet so unexpectedly. I think what I really enjoyed about this book is the fact that it was a friends to lovers situation even though they had not seen each other in years. They just connected. I really loved their level of connection regardless of Alexis and her freak out moments. While some may say it was royal over the top, it’s hard to say how a person would react letting someone into their lives after the tragedy.
Overall, I found this book a great story with love and emotion. The moments felt real and you really just feel like you are watching a movie play out in front of you. I would recommend this story to anyone that wants a feel good romance.

10 Things I Loved and Hated About Tied up in Heartstrings

1. Garrett McKenna is a complete dreamboat. I mean, seriously, where can I get one?

2. Why didn't Garret just ask Alexis out in college? Heck, why didn't she? Why date and marry Jed? Honey, you know he's not your soulmate. Not like Garrett.

3. Sierra is the cutest little kid ever. Any little girl who loves Taylor Swift that much is cool in my book. Plus, you know she's a girl who gets what she wants.

4. Garrett and Sierra are so cute together. You can tell a lot about a man by how he treats kids. Garrett has a heart of gold for both Alexis and Sierra. Swoon!

5. Alexis worries way too much about the development of her relationship with Garrett and her daughter's closeness to him.

6. Really, Alexis worries about everything too much. I know it's hard being a single parent and having to deal with everything on your own, but a girl needs to chill every now and then. Especially when you have a hot rockstar in love with you.

7. We all know Alexis is an independent woman who can take care of herself, but it is adorable when Garrett insists on doing so anyway.

8. Alexis's mom is a total bitch! Jason needs to cut that woman off, and I'd also like to see Garrett go postal on her.

9. The last 40 or so pages: Garrett and Alexis and Sierra and another addition... Garrett is really attractive when he's being overprotective.

10. Not long enough! Needs 100 more pages of gooey goodness.
