kenningjp's review against another edition
5.0
I'd love to start at the end but wouldn't want to spoil the trip of getting there and yet "real isn't what you're looking for" might just be the reality one comes to accept as we learn to hate love after so much time spent craving it and redefining it as we go through various versions of it within one lifetime. Elliot's mix of poetry and prose in this collection are lyrical narrative vignettes of beauty, pining and brooding. Things go wrong and things go right (enough) for the moment and in all reality, moments are all we have. All we are. Elliot is a writer who gets it and gives it to you, the reader. If you want to feel all your feels, this is for you.
