This book has shifted the way that I see God. I see him as a good father I see God as not a dictator. This book has brought a lot of healing to me. Some of my favorite quotes from God is good are:

Changing the focus changes the method which changes the outcome.
I highly suggest everyone, new believers, and those that have been in the faith for a long time to read this book. I guarantee that you will have a different perspective of God. This is definitely a book that I will come back to every year!

Initially the writing style made this seem like a hard book to get through, but once I got through the first few chapters and into the meat of the message I loved it. There is so much truth in this book - the way he describes the Kingdom of God, the way he explains what our role as co-laborers is, the depths of God's goodness, etc. Also, as someone who has dealt with major health issues and seemingly unanswered prayers, this book felt like someone finally explained to me how it all works and why I didn't see healing right away. On top of that, the book awakened a desire in me to spend more time with God.

My low rating of this book is not because I disagree with the theology or importance of people knowing the goodness of God, but because of the way it’s written. It felt like just a lot of musings and pondering’s come spilling out onto the page. It’s my first read from Bill Johnson, it hasn’t put me off trying another because as I say the theology I agree with, his heart and passion equally comes across. I just struggled a little with the style of writing. Some great quotes and challenges to those of us who call ourselves Jesus followers
